1) Interview with Mike Haskell, NIOSH about Ebola and PPE for first responders; 2) MMWR on Ebola entry screening and follow up of travelers from West Africa through Georgia

Hi all-

A very interesting interview with Mike Haskell, a PPE expert from NIOSH, about ebola responders, and the importance of updating the NFPA standards to drive development and more testing of single-use garments and the whole ensemble (instead of just separate pieces of PPE):

Also, here is a recent review of the results of the ebola active monitoring program of travelers returning from West Africa through Georgia. I am assuming the entry screening was done at the Atlanta airport; this is great public health in action!  Of interest, 53% of the returning travelers worked at the CDC: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6413a3.htm?s_cid=mm6413a3_w
