Microfiber Use for Asthma-Safer Classrooms - Challenge

Posted almost 6 years ago by Sandra Domeracki

Using Microfiber for Asthma-Safer Classrooms

The Occupational Health Branch's (OHB) Work-Related Asthma Prevention Program is offering safer cleaning guidance and microfiber cloths to protect the health of school staff and students in California classrooms.

Cleaning products, sanitizers, and disinfectants, including disinfectant wipes, can worsen or even cause asthma.

Routine cleaning with microfiber cloths can safely remove dust, dirt, and germs without exposure to cleaning chemicals or disinfectants.

You can learn more about Cleaning for Asthma Safe Schools Microfiber Challenge by visiting our website.

Teachers, schools, and school districts can apply online to participate in the Challenge. Participants will receive safer cleaning recommendations and microfiber cloths between now and October 1, 2019.

Using microfiber for most classroom cleaning can reduce asthma triggers.
