Join us at the East Bay SPCA to learn about zoonotic diseases. 

Speaker(s) and topics to include:

Cynthia Karsten, DVM, DABVP, Outreach Veterinarian at UCD’s Koret Shelter Medicine Program (www.sheltermedicine.com) will present on zoonotic diseases that shelter workers may be at risk of being exposed to and on feral cat management.

Chloe Chien, MD, Occupational and Environmental Health Resident at UCSF will present "Common Zoonotic Infections among Animal Shelter Workers".

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

• Understand the health risks for workers interacting with shelter animals
• Describe the management of common zoonotic diseases among animal care workers
• Summarize zoonotic disease risk for workers involved in feral cat management
