11:00: Health and Safety presentation by Dr. Sarah Martin Segal, EH&S, Stanford University and Erin Davis, NP, Occupational Health Nurse, Stanford University.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Identify common hazards as they pertain to field and marine research
  2. Understanding of various safety programs to mitigate injury risk and ensure compliance
  3. Understanding of various field and marine research projects at Stanford
  4. Understanding of travel medicine and wilderness medicine training as it pertains to field and marine research
  5. Identify and apply the steps of field research risk assessment

After the morning's visit to the Marine Institute we plan to have lunch at The Fish Hopper and then visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

A link to RSVP for lunch and the afternoon aquarium visit is included in your registration confirmation email. You are responsible to pay for your own lunch and entrance ticket to the Aquarium. If you paid by check, please email cecraohn@gmail.com to RSVP for lunch and Aquarium visit.
